JÉ-VONNA SAMPSON

Jé-Vonna Sampson is the Director of Destination Planning for MMGY NextFactor. Jé-Vonna is a solution-oriented Tourism & Hospitality professional with a demonstrated history in community and partner development.

Her experience includes account management and membership sales across industries, including nonprofit, academic, and start-up.

Prior to joining MMGY NextFactor, Jé-Vonna served as Manager, Borough Relation & Member Programs, with NYC & Company where she led borough relations efforts to ensure the economic and social benefits of tourism in New York City are distributed throughout the five boroughs—with a particular emphasis on small businesses and communities anchored by marginalized folks. She leveraged various community relationships to create greater diversity in NYC & Company vibrancy programs, resulting in the largest NYC Restaurant Week in the program’s 30-year history with over 660 participating restaurants.

During her time at NYC & Company she also served on the internal Diversity Equity & Inclusion Advisory Board and collaborated with IMEX and Destination International as a panelist to reinforce the importance of DEI as it relates to destination stewardship and management.

Jé-Vonna is a Destinations Internationals 2021 30 Under 30 Honoree and a Denison University graduate.
